Energy Bagua saved my hand Wen Yao from Toronto, Canada

Winne Leung, Toronto

My name is Winnie and I am from Toronto, Canada. What you’re about to read is my true story …

Around the middle of 2014, I started to experience numbness in my right arm. The numbness eventually spread to both arms and it developed from a sense of numbness to pain. The condition was so bad that it impacted my daily life – I was not even able to hold a bowl during meals and the discomfort from my arms disrupted my sleep. By 2016, my condition had worsened considerably.

According to my doctor, my condition was known as carpal tunnel syndrome and he suggested that I go for an operation. In February 2017, I took his advice and went for the operation on my right arm. My intention was to operate on one arm at a time, starting with my right. Once the right arm had recovered, I would operate on the left. Unexpectedly though, my right arm lost all its strength after the operation and I was not able to use it for anything.

In March that same year, I had the opportunity to join the foundation class of Energy Bagua. Every morning around 5am, I would practice Energy Bagua with the other practitioners for about two hours. Around 9.30am, the foundation class would begin and I would practice for another two hours. On the fourth night, I fell asleep almost immediately after I reached home. I was surprised when I woke up the following morning: “I did not experience any pain or numbness in my left arm the whole night!” I started to wonder: “Should I still operate on my left arm? I don’t seem to feel any pain or numbness on it anymore.”

Not long after that, I visited the doctor for a post-operation check-up. The doctor was astonished at how much my right arm had recovered in the one month after the operation. He wanted to know what I had been doing. I told him truthfully that I had been practicing Energy Bagua by walking around a tree. He encouraged me to continue with my practice.

About three or four months later, I went to a supermarket to get a bag of rice. Without thinking, I picked up the rice, paid for it, carried it to my car and drove home. When I reached home, I suddenly realized what had happened: “Oh my! I could actually carry a bag of rice! I have strength in my arms again!” In that instant, I decided against an operation on my left arm.

I am very grateful to Buddha, the Bodhisattvas and Grandmaster for teaching us Energy Bagua. This is an awesome practice!
